Yeah, get it running. Turbo later. A running car is worth more than a dream setup. :)

I also agree that carburetors and points do far less damage than jack stands and age.
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

Agreed.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Great stuff, but you really want that T manifold with the turbo feed going right into the middle at right angles to the pipe. Otherwise you end up running one bank leaner than the other. All the old turbocharger books warn about it.

Thanks Pete..

I was already afraid of this.. with a injection engine its not an issue.. with carb different.

What would be the best? 2 x 90 bents? or should it be exactly at the middle?

It looks cool , I had mine similar to that and it was a bitch to get started what with the manifolds being long and the engine having to draw fuel up hill like that. I had to spray easy start into it .

This is the page from the Hugh McInnes book, "Turbochargers".

He's specifically talking about flat motors. I don't think it matters a lot what's in between the turbo and the cross manifold as long as you can keep it as short and direct as possible.

The T Mainfold in exactly in the center now , including the lenght icm the bents.. The inside is very smooth.. need to grid the other welding.. (is only outside) Also the intake is about 20 cm shorter..

Hope this will work..

Wat jet's can you advice for my IDF44? I got a stock 1971cc with a webcam #119 and T1 lifters with TD04-13T turbo, thanks!
