Hmm installed new tacho since the old one did not do the job (VDO).. and also the new one doesnt work!
I directly connected it to the coil - and +/- from the battery, but no luck.
If I rev the engine it gives max 1000rpm.. I tried the 4-6-8 switch.. doesnt change..
Anybody some idea's? I got a 12v coil. and a electronic converted 009.. thanks.

It runs awesome! Nice idle too, me like a lot. WTG Udo!Udo Airbus wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2018 12:06 am Happy new year all!!
Ok we had some fun on 31 dec .. I made the intake tube added the BOV and then we started it up.
With nothing tuned.. engine Is running way to rich.. but it never runned so good with the turbo connected.. The wastgate is set to 0.4 bar. Since this is only some revving in neutral we cannot say all is ok.. (max was 0.3 bar at the gauge)
offcourse we made a movie:

Hope you like it.
pff now I really need to get the oil and air cooling fixed to give it some street test runs..

Small updates:
Got the oil cooler in place and connected. Changed the place of the BOV. Oil catch is done.
Rear engine mount is done, (works great!) For this I needed to remake the exhaust.
Now playing with the alternator. They fixed the thread, So finally I have a working cooling unit. Tonight I will get my last bosch parts so we hopefully can charge the batterys.
I also ordered Turbo emulsion tubes @ CB. To bad the modulator rings were sold uit.
At the moment I cannot get the engine running right, its to lean in high rpm and to much fuel in low rpm. So hope its better when we change the F11 tubes.
Also a picture attached from the status now. The card board will be the engine tin layout.

Ok the alternator works! Charging very nice. Max 14.18 volts
But the engine is running very bad suddenly. (Before the alternator)
Cil3 does not want to join anymore.
I replaced, sparkplugs + cables
Used my old ignition. (vacuum)
Used another Bosch 009.
Outside the engine cil got a spark, but it will not join...
Its also wet from fuel..
Compression cil3 is still ok.
I think its the coil, so i'm looking for a spare one now..
If you have any suggestions please let me know..

Yesterday my brother in law came with 3 coils.. We tried all but no luck.
I think the new sparkplugs are damaged due to wrong carb settings.
Will wait for the CB emulsion tubes and put bigger air jets..

Probably not damaged but need a cleaning, excess fuel, esp old fuel coats them with varnish.
Carb cleaner would work.
Over here, 6 month old fuel is "old" fuel in a bad way..

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
