I got the intercooler fan wired up and made some progress on front brakes. It is hard to find front brakes for combo spindles.

I finally got to go play in the woods last weekend. I soon realized that the TD04 13T is way too small for a 2276 when you want to climb hills in woods. I had to back down one of the hill that is fairly steep but only about 100 yds long. As soon as I passed 2K rpm she would go right to boost and spin the tires, everything worked fine on flat ground but being at a 45 deg angle loads the engine too much.
If anyone has a subie VF30 to sell or trade, please let me know. Next trip is July 5th, I am considering removing the turbo until I can find a larger one, boost needs to happen at least 1K rpm later than what I currently have.

I am running a dry sump system with 7 qts of oil so always have good oil supply and pressure. I am probably the first guy to complain about making boost too soon but it all depends on the application.

Mike,
I am running 33" super swamper Boggers cut to the cords on beadlocks and 5 psi I don't think my rear tires are the problem, It is hard to understand how much you can load a steep hill can put on a motor. I fairly flat ground it is great and boost is easy to control, I passed a buddy on the trail like he was sitting still when be both grabbed 2nd gear and hit the throttle, he was still laughing when I slowed down enough for him to catch up. Even at only 7 psi 2K to 5K rpm happens in less than a second on a decent hill. My thought process for an offroad turbo is changing.

I switched from 30" dia. paddles (http://www.sandtiresunlimited.com/1300plus.html) on 15 X 15 steel rims to Desert Tracs (https://www.kartek.com/parts/sand-tires ... ridge.html) on 15 X 12 AL rims. Tire pressure went from the standard 7#s to the recommended 5#s. A very, very noticeable difference on the sand. Desert tracs are good for both surfaces.

The side wall an the Desert Tracs are much stiffer than the 1300+s which is good for rougher/firmer ground conditions than the paddles.

My .63 t3/t4 doesn't wake up until about 4000-4500. It get real fun right about then, but its pretty lazy until that point. Kenric, just through that td05 on there. Its a little bigger on the exhaust side, should spool a little later I'd think.
