Perhaps he has another horizontal 911 fan setup...
No machining and uniform airflow.
Lee Arnold may still make them.

Nice to see some solid progress on this build Wally! What are your performance goals when its alive and running? Hoping to better the old combo?

See pics at page 2 Andy. Pls do keep up old man

Chip: yes, I do very much hope so. The idea is that it is an improvement both in strength, longlivety and yes, power too!
The goal I hope to achieve is to dyno around 195 hp in N/A mode without turbo and 400 crank hp at 1 bar of boost. After that its more of 'how big is the turbo' and as I really want to learn about spool differences, I'll keep the turbo size the same as last time (haven't got another one yet). The new versions of these flow a little more still, so we'll see when we get there.
Last 2,2 ltr engine dyno'd 172 crank hp without turbo, so hoping these new heads and cam combo will get me another 20 hp or so N/A...

Short block is now finally all buttoned up (after 10 years of parts collecting!), so I am really exited already.

What's the view look like underneath with the other set of plugs. Never seen a dual plugged head 'installed' , just the pics of heads by themselves. I take it your ECU handles the twin plug arrangement ? Also how does the spark work? Do they spark at the same time or can you offset/delay each one(pair) etc ?

Obviously nothing has been installed yet, so how eventually the wires will run, I have no idea just now.
My ecu does handle twin spark on a 4 cylinder, so no worries there and off-set is possible and can easily be given in the ecu. Howeevr no idea if that would make a significant difference. Not sure yet if I will run twin spark from the first start. I really just want the engine to start at all and run so my car runs again after soooo many years...

That's so cool looking. Nice to see the extension in there also to see the ease of removal etc. Thanks for posting the pics.

You need a bigger oil pump... not.

That motor is awesome. Can't begin to imagine what those heads cost.

Thanks gents!

Fitting a big diameter type 1 header on a moderate stroke type 4 is somewhat..well...time consuming, but it looks like it will eventually work. Its just for a short while till the turbo comes anyways
