Re: Starting to get my engine parts and have some questions
Sent the case off to Rimco to have the piston oilers installed.
Next on the list is the heads and still got to order the connecting rods.
Got my new Wiseco Pistons today. Man, these things are sweet!!

Make sure you use a good oil cooler and fan set up when using oil squirters to cool the pistons. Oil temps get raised 30-40 deg. No not just a 72pass, maybe 2 I would at least sack them up to save room. That's what I did on my street car.

Good advice. I was definately planning on running an oil cooler and fan.

I may be welding some water jackets in the heads as well to keep temps under control.

Get a dual setrab fanpack from aircooled.net that will handle all the heat you can throw at it.

The single fan pack can be mounted to the side and above the trans. Two singles may fit easier than the dual model.

Looks like it might be hard to fit the dual model, i may just go with two singles.

Should be getting my case back from Rimco today or tomorrow with the oil squirters and the HVX extra oil port machined in the case. Getting excited except im bleeding money on this thing and havent even got a complete short block together yet, let alone a long block, FI, turbo, etc.

Re: Starting to get my engine parts and have some questions
I see this is an old post but did you take any pics of the oil squirters and case oiling mods by Rimco? I am building a engine for a 1600 class and was thinking of case mods. How about feedback on engine temps?
