Before I installed the Aeromotive pump I used to have a Walbro GS340 (255l/ph) in my tank. Quiet, small and light but it did not supply enough fuel:

Same fuel lines as I`m using on the Aeromotive pump.

What's some ideas for a clean install of feed and return lines to a stock gas tank? I'm going to run 3/8ths hard line through my pan for both feed and return. I don't really want anything showing on top of the tank. I want it to appear stock when you look under the hood. I'm going to have to run the pump and filter under the tank somehow.

Anybody got any ideas (or examples) for the matter?

I think I posted on the first page that I achieved that on e85 with -6an everything and a walbro(i did the bypass mod to it), -8 is more then enough. No point wasting money on larger fittings then what you need.

AN6 is plenty... I realy dont know how much HP I've got right now but I know I never see under 65lbs in the line after the injectors.. I'm at 19 lbs of boost now on a questionable street motor and still able to hold 11.0-11.5 AFR... It's not E85 but I'm sure if I wanted to run it all I'd have to do is swap injectors (maybe, they are 82lb now)

I ran 22+ psi on ethanol, base fuel pressure was 70psi and injector dynamic 1000cc injectors, 89%IDC so I was on the verge of maxing out my system but it worked awesome. All that with just a walbro.

Supaninja is right, 5/8" is HUGE. You also have to think about how much of a strain that will put on your pump with all the extra fuel volume. Ask wally what his fuel system is these days at 400+ hp. When doing pump research I found myself on a lots of import sites. They are making massive power on 5/16" and 3/8" fuel lines. I take all this back if you plan on running a carb :)

whoops! Sorry guys, I saw the comment about 5/8ths line and I corrected my post above. I have 3/8ths stainless hardline. NOT 5/8ths. Just shows what this stuff will do to you when you type:

After digging into my project further, this is the type of set up I think I'm headed towards. What is this fuel system capable of in regards to supporting HP? 400+?

As this is my first attempt at EFI, and Turbo VWs, can you break this down for me a bit? For instance, do you use a reserve/accumulator tank to feed that pump, or do you just have a -8 feeding the A1000 straight from the tank?

Also, how does the regulator work? Is it controlled by the ECU or is it mechanically controlled through a pressure sensor (vacuum/boost referenced). I've got a whole book on EFI systems, but I read it a year ago and need a quick refresher. (yeah, I'm too lazy to look it up at the moment. :lol: )

Thanks for the help. I've got to place an order with Summit ASAP! ;) I just want to make sure I get what I need! :D

Dude thats a serious setup right there, air to water ic...mmmm.

Looks like -8 everything, easily 600+ whp. I ran a aeromotive A1000-6 on my last setup and it's like any other fpr, adjustable with a screw on top, the boost reference is connected to the vac line. I like to put a check valve inline so the fpr doesn't see any vac, if you got the right injectors then you won't need to pull fuel at idle...makes it a lot easier to tune when you have a constant fuel pressure.

Ok. Sounds pretty straight forward. So would you need to have the pump connected to a reserve tank or can you go straight to the pump from the fuel tank?
