Re: Safari Turbo/Megasquirt Fuel Injection Project
Went to the "West Coast Grudge Match" at Pacific International Raceway yesterday.......
I took my wife along with my BIL and Wife's sister. He had surgery on a Rotator cuff, two ligaments and a bicep muscle so was getting bored....made it an overnight trip with a stay in Kent.
Saw Mario there since he was a sponsor of the event......
It was an action packed day with lots of cars for a great turnout!!!!!
Lots of fast cars and some that didn't have a very good day......two cars hit the wall.
I just saw a car at the "West Coast Grudge" yesterday....... 70's 240Z with a 2JZ Supra engine in it.
This car was the only one at the races that I actually went and hunted down because it was sooo impressive!!!!
He was running MS3Pro, A precision 768x something massive turbo and would launch at 32lbs. boost using a 75 shot of nitrous to get full boost in 1.0 seconds at the start line!!!!
He then hit the high boost button on the steering wheel which gave him 40 lbs. boost once he thought he was going straight.....It was freaking awesome!!!!!
Here is his Facebook page and he has a couple videos that are better than what I could post.

This car has lots of awesome all through it and I was impressed....seemed to me he knew what he was doing and was slowly working it to better and better times.
I talked to him for at least 15 minutes and could have spent more time but I didn't want to hold him up since he was prepping for another round or two to better his times.
They didn't display times since it was "grudge" racing but I think he can run 8.00 sec 1/4 mile times and maybe has bettered that now.
Here are a couple pics of the engine compartment....
Here was a twin turbo LS powered car that I saw run two times and I don't think he could beat the 240Z........
Lots of cool cars and you could walk right through the pits and talk to any of the drivers..
All in all a great day.

Re: Safari Turbo/Megasquirt Fuel Injection Project
I can just about imagine what it feels like to have that 40 lbs. hit.......his first run that thing lit the tires up about 300 ft down the track and he had to let off..... the track temps were 60* or less in the morning so everyone was having issues hooking up.
I'm going to have to rethink my winter upgrades.....I'm already dreaming about twin turbos with the HY35W forcing some pressurized goodness into the TD04L....
