Saw this thing run at Farmington NC,at the Fast Times at Farmington event.

According to the owner, its a 1641 with stock rods,044 heads,1.25 rockers, mild Bugpack cam,40mm Weber,t3/t4 turbo,Bosch blowoff valve, and nitrous. No wastegate or boost guage,it makes what it makes! He's run it that way for the past four years, apparently.

We saw it go 6.53@107 in the 1/8...it's best is 6.46 @108. WOW.

That is moving for a little 1641.
My bug runs 6.8's @ 101, and that is quick to me.

What is that INSANE attachment to the exhaust-out side of the turbocharger?! It looks like a jet engine exhaust - awesome!! :D

Judging by where it is, it can only be an air filter of some kind.

My latest video. Last one for a while, since I broke my differential on this run. I can hear a lot of my problems getting a good 60-ft: bad wheel hop, bad bog ... then suddenly a strong pull when the turbo finally decides to spool. I need a kafer bar, a stronger trans, and to figure out some way of tuning it for off-the-line response.

EDIT: That run was 9.08 @ 83. Best run has been 8.88 @ 83

get a mid-mount before you get a kafer brace, i got one and it works really really well.

i got mine from mohr performance, but i know ac.net sells them also.

Already have a mid-mount, solid engine and trans mounts, and a rear engine mount. Link should work now.
