I didn't know that you knew how to do one turbo! Have you noticed much of a difference yet? How'd you do at the track last night?

Talking of Ghias and turbo. This is a 400hp 1641ccm - 9 second engine. 044 heads, original non counterweighted crank, FK89, H beam rods, E85, PE 6266 turbo and a heck load of boost:

Do you see all the nuts along side the top of the engine block? There are a few more of them on the underside as well and they keep the block together. If you look closely you can also see the 5 studs holding the heads connected to the case. There are 3 more of them that you cant see. They make sure that the heads do not leave the case.

Let me know if you want more info on how these dam things work.

With a smile :D

I don't thing there is much differance but is does not have as much cool factor. I ran this same throttle body with this cam FK-44 on 112 lobe with the twins on the yellow bug and ran the same times.
I did a 7.2something at 97 mph Last week at Piedmont on pump gas with 18-19 psi

To much work to R&R and extra lines. I can get everything out not as a complete package. I still have them, I am sure they will be back sometime

Here is a pic of my first turbo motor. What I call a mid budget 1776cc. I've been lurking and learning from you all over the past couple of years. Soon we will see if I was a good study or not. Thanks to everyone here for their willingness to share their knowledge.

Joosep, I love the stance of your bug. I would just go all gray primer and take on all challengers. :D
