Buggy project - what to fix first

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

I cheated and started with a running buggy! I don't have fab skills, I am just adding lights and stuff to make it street legal.
So you think your project is taking forever eh? Well you've got nothing on me.....

I have the same set up, but it certainly fits better than yours. :) They are very sensitive so I would imagine that you will have issues with the current position. The specs call for a gap of 1/16" to 1/8" . What transmission is that on?

Question: why didn't you go with a GPS type of speed-O?

This is more than just a curiosity for me on this as I am looking towards getting one myself. The only place it wouldn't work well I would think would be in a tunnel and maybe some heavily treed areas.

I keep getting logged out trying to answer this from my phone. Simple answer is I want this kind of speedo.

EDIT: now logged in with the laptop. Sorry for all the time I am taking in replying or getting back to the forum, my phone has all my pics and I have been logged out due to signal drop many times just trying to do the 2 replies posted above. My other option is to transfer pics to the laptop then reduce their quality somehow to what STF can handle. Either option is an exercise in frustration. I lurk often but to post means just logging in, writing/editing something meaningful, and getting it to post has about a 90 second window before logout with my current phone carrier and signal issues. Sprint sucks!

In other news Imp buggy #1 is separated from its pan and awaiting bodywork. Long term effort there.

Still sitting out back. No updates without sounding like a lot of whining.

Just life taking project money away for "important" stuff as it does.
