Wrisley's Buggy
I'm super stoked to be posting here again. I took a lil break from the off road scene for a few years (not by choice) and sure am glad to be back in it. With that being said....
I picked up a Chenowth Explorer today! Its a 2002 that I got from a good friend/coworker. I can't tell you how excited my family about going to the desert this year.
Here's the specs:
2.0 Subaru with JD Motorsports built turbo
Transform 091 with 4.57 ring and pinion
8 over beam with 2.5 over arms
3x3 trailing arms
Fox 2.0 coilovers in all four
930 race CV's
That's the real meat and potatoes of it.
So, it's been sitting for a few years and the immediate plan is to get some fresh fuel and a new battery. Other than that, its gonna be small upgrades and tweaks. Id like to do an LED light bar soon. The radiator location is also less than optimal, so that's something else I'm going to be changing soon. As always, thought comments and concerns are appreciated. I'm sure I'll have all sorts of questions as this evolves. Ive always got the best info from this site.
Tank pulled and drained, old battery out...

Congrats on the car. Very nice.
Don’t ever yield your gift of dream; Your knack for gumption, too. For “It’s the crazy ones that have all the fun," if dreamers yearn to do.

I don't always show my signature. But when I do, it's in this area.

Re: Wrisley's Buggy
Cool buggy Chris! Glad to see you back!
My only piece of advice: Don't worry about upgrades or changes until you at least drive it a bit! If it runs and drives, go until something NEEDS changing rather than upgrading just to do it.

Cool ride, but I am pretty partial to red Chenowth's.

Re: Wrisley's Buggy
I appreciate the sentiment Herb, but I have yet to lose a cotter pin thus rendering my baja immobile....
