I tore the car down by myself to that point in about an hour and JT volunteered to pull the floor and skid plates and I bet he did that in about an hour.

With a few hrs of his help we tore the car down cleaned it including all nooks and crannies. Put it on jack stands checked hubs and bearings. WD-40 the entire car and put it all back together in about 16 total man hours. Started Saturday AM and drove it again at lunch time on Sunday

Well that all went about as good as I could have hoped for. I had The Queen as clean as I have had it since it rolled out of the trailer the first time. Inside and out!

We took her down and put her on display for her first time ever. Funny how few people around here actually have any clue what this thing is. It took a small kid to ask "Is this kinda like a Baja racing car?" Haha yeah kinda I said.

Had a very special 27year old young man that served in the Army from 2008-2012 in Iraq and Afghanistan riding in the Parade with me.

After we reached the end of the Parade route Don ditched the dress gear for a T-shirt and shorts and it was time for me to thank him for his service in a different way. Way to many people to go fast but we did take a short ride out a very muddy tore up forest service road and he was impressed with the way the car bounded over the ruts and water drainage bars cut in the dirt. On our way back to town I was able to hit a stretch of power line access road that had a good mile of clear view, and I was able to give him a real feel for what the car is capable of.

Of course we took The Queen back to the car show with an ample amount of mud on her.

As we pulled back in to the show one of the coordinators asked where we had gone? And told me I should have stuck around because they were going to award me a trophy but thought that I had left so they chose an alternate. That's OK I was not there for a trophy.

Outstanding CWB, you made that Soldiers year I am sure. Nice to see the young lady cleaned up she did look sharp, still does even when she is dirty.

Thank you sir. I must admit that I have had a few mixed reviews. Mostly good,but there are the folks that say that it is ignorant to "Thank" our Veterans on Memorial Day. Trust me I do not mistake Memorial Day and Veterans Day I just feel that there is no better way to honor the fallen then to take a moment and thank them by enjoying the freedoms that they gave their lives for. And thanking our vets, especially combat vets that lost brothers and sisters fighting, on this day is something that we should do because us civilians have no real clue what those folks have given as well. So to all you guys out there, I do this out of respect not ignorance so I hope you are ok with it. As far as this young man...well totally random guy, local to my area and in construction, however our paths have never crossed before. Yes he enjoyed it I think. And for the timing of his service...well, while he was fighting, I was building this car, so yeah it meant a lot to me to take him for a ride.

I've seen the way veterans are looked after over here (ie. not). I know there are similar issues in the US. Good on you for looking out for the guy and honoring his service.

Veterans here were given a bad ration of BS in the Vietnam war era. The war wasn't popular with those of service age, so those who were drafted into the military got lot of bad feedback. Veterans now get a whole lot better respect. I hope it gets better for vets down there.

The pics are just stills taken from JT's cell video. I am trying to get the rest from him. Plus we mounted a fathers day gift GoPro in the car but again he has the footage and is showing me how easy its all is.....once he figures it LOL. It kills me because I want to see the vids now too but he has the card

Found a killer little 20 mile loop that would be a hoot if you knew it was a closed course. Not safe to go too fast in the low range visibility. But the video should be fun to watch.
