Re: 1966 Berry Mini T 4. whats your thoughts on these?
Dude....
Don't you have enough projects?
Whats going on with the truck and the rabbit? And the baja for that matter!
That being said: personally I am not a fan. Especially if it is yellow

Re: 1966 Berry Mini T 4. whats your thoughts on these?
haha, well heres the low down.
Baja.. at camp, well be getting a total rebuild this spring, when it warms up.
Did i mention its 7* right now?
The rabbit.. at camp, either coming home in like the next week, or waiting for spring.
(just scored 15" BBS rims for it)
The truck.. now here's were the mini T comes in..
I put the truck up for sale, ive realized that its just way too much work for me right now, and ive been in a love-hate realtionship with it lately, so i put it up for $2000.
This guy comes out, wants to trade a $3000 03 honda rincon ATV with 28" mudlites and a winch.
Cool.
Then, he notices my old motor in the garage, tells me about his mini t he had for sale, and said, would you like to trade for the mini t, and 500 cash?
I said, uhm, yeah maybe, the mini t runs and drives and stops, and its street legal.,
Ill have pics later...
So what you guys think?

Re: 1966 Berry Mini T 4. whats your thoughts on these?
at least it has a vw engine.....
personally i don't care for them but to each his own. i think the make good looking drag cars, sorta like an old 70's fuel altered of wild willie borsch.
there is a guy in OKC, OK that drag races a vw powered mini t that is really sharp.
wild willie drove this monster pretty much one-handed....

this car would be used as a summer cruiser..
from months may to around october, then it would be put away for winter...
It makes sense, because the truck that im trading was gonna be put away during cold months also..
Im just basing my decision on what thing i would have more fun with.
Isnt that what its all about, fun?

it's like a friend of mine says, "it's for sale, so you have to buy it"
I reckon it's a winner. It's got rego and it already goes. Your truck doesn't. What have got to loose?

http://www.shoptalkforums.net/viewtopic ... 8&t=113703 (David/Leather, could you put this URL in the build list please. It can be hard to find)
I’ve got what I think is a splash off a Berry Mini T +4 (Redhead Roadster Cute T). I am beginning to become disenchanted with it as an off-road buggy. Some thoughts;
The good:
• Long wheel base for a better ride. May not be ideal for all riding areas.
• It will look unique and real cool out on the dunes or on a trail.
• The Berry Mini T pictured as a drag car is so cool!
The bad:
• The hood does not come off so you have to work in a very tight area.
• The fuel tank has to be in the rear because of no hood opening and the flat, thin/tapered hood area.
• The body cross section is way thin and you have to sit on the floor to stay within it.
• The rear wheel fender opening has an opening radius of 30 inches, the same as a paddle tire diameter and smaller than some off-road tires.
• I haven’t found out yet if the tire centers in the wheel opening at full compression of the suspension compression to the stops. I think a body lift is going to be mandatory and maybe one inch longer trailing arms (IRS). I have no idea about the swing axle tire fit at full tilt.
