A-Arm front end - Very Happy A-Arm .com Customer

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Pete is great to work with. He can make spindles with whatever spuds you want (get combo spindle spuds) and will help you out if you are a clot and crash into a mountain and break things.
I can PM you his phone # if you need.
I don't always show my signature. But when I do, it's in this area.

If Pete is no longer doing A-Arm conversion, you might check out John (Moosebuilt) on Glamis Dunes. Here he is: http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/ind ... wuser=6510

For anyone who has been watching the A-Arm.com setup will be back on the market in the next few days ...... it will be available on line for purchase and ship within 2 weeks ... of getting an order. It will be offered as parts all the way up to a complete bolt on kit ( less steering rack) instructions for rack modifications will be available and hopefully they will be available modified shortly. In the mean time the German Golf Racks are available along with tie rods etc.

To make it even sweater a deal has been done with Dan's Performance Parts ( www.dansperformanceparts.com) to take care of orders and shipping. I will update this thread as the weekend unfolds needless to say there will be some Weld Porn coming down line ... yeah baby A-Arm.com lives on and I look forward to seeing many more happy customers ..

Is it possible to get a complete parts break down (exploded view) for those piecing the kit together?

We don't have one at the moment, best I could offer would be pictures and what is in the install instructions.

We are finalizing Ball Joint Spindle Uprights this month and then I will do up an exploded view and get it published.

Are you after anything in particular ?

You mention parts break down, are you collecting your own bits or purchasing the kit parts off Dan's ? If off Dan then you will get teh correct bolts, rod ends, spacers etc in the kits. If doing your own thing then you will need more details that what I was planning to supply but I can if that is what you need.

For Example :

2 pr. 5 /8 to ½ Misalignment spacer #HMS08-10

4 pr. ¾ to ½ Misalignment spacer #HMS08-12

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 ea. 5/8 MLH 4130 NFM #XML10

8 ea. 5/8 x ¾ M RH 4130 NFM #XMR10-12

2 ea. ¾ x 7/8 M RH NFM #XMR12-14

2 ea. 3/4M RH 4130 NFM #XMR12

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 ea. 5/8 LH Steel Jam nut #SJNL10

10 ea. ¾ RH Steel Jam nut #SJNR12

2 ea. 7/8-14 RH steel Jam nut #SJNR14

Yeah that was what I was after. An exploded view with part numbers that you can click on and it will take you to that part on dans sight. For those of us that are piecing it together. The parts numbers posted is perfect though. Keep us posted on the rack please.

Ah ok you mean do we do custom widths, if so the answer is no not for this product.

Making changes results in having to change stuff all over the place which takes it from a stock item to a custom item and on most custom items we loose money as it always takes 3 x longer than you expect. If people want custom stuff we do it at hourly rate and not item price.

So if you want custom width it would be a custom assembly and billed accordingly.

That being said we are working on 2 other setups at the moment which will be different to this is width and travel but will no longer be bolt on so depending on what you are after it may already be in the pipeline.
