....?
THE most spectacular "DIY" build I have seen.... stalled when its time for fueling up and a trip around the block? What gives?
Do you want me to come drive it first? Cause I would... FOR YOU, of course. Just here to help....

is the grey(silver?) on the flex fuel lines an additional sleeve? and a rubber boots on the AN fitting?
Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

The fuel hose is a black nylon double steel braided hose that has some fancy inner core to resist breakdown over time. The outer sleeve is called Firesleeve, it can withstand transient temperatures up to 2000 degrees and prolonged exposure up to 1000 degrees, if I remember right. The heatshrink is high temp, fuel resistant to keep the area between the hose and sleeve clean and sealed.bajaherbie wrote:is the grey(silver?) on the flex fuel lines an additional sleeve? and a rubber boots on the AN fitting?
The Firesleeve is a safety item: it can resist high temps, allows for another barrier between the hose and fuel and 'insulates' the fuel helping the fuel to not 'boil up' reducing possibility of vapor locking in higher temps. At least that is what those that know that stuff tell me right before they take my money.

The Mars rover wasn't built with this attention to detail! Nice to see it so close to being finished DG.

Buttoning the car up further, working on fuel area. Re-worked the vent tube to omit the dogleg in the tube... and, of course, a change in color to transparent copper.
