Motorbreath53's Baja... is still ALIVE

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

So just got most of my new parts this weekend major front suspension upgrade. New Fodrill 1 3/4 Heavy Duty arms, Fodrill King Kong spindles double shear, New race 7/8 link pins, and 2.0x10 Fox Double Bypass shocks just waiting on my shipment from Jamar to covert my front brakes to King Kong. Picking up Motorbreaths tube bender tomorrow to make new upper shock mounts and of coarse we will have to drink a couple of beers as we mill over all his house renovations and plan a trip to plaster city in January and drink some more Beer!. Stay tuned pics of progress to follow :)

You will love the 1 3/4" Fodrill stuff, I run it on the Manxter and have been very happy. If you get stuck for a Ream then I have one I use just for the 1 3/4 Beam bushins since most kits stop at 1 1/2"

How are you liking the EPS over the old Char-Lynn steering assist? I picked up the same electronic power steering motor/assembly you have judging by the pics of the motor and silver box (on the motor).
