I currently have no stereo in my bug. the factory behind the dash speaker is there but i dont wanna use it.
I have a box for 2 6x9s that is going in the package tray. So what do i need minimum to work. of couse speakers. is there a quick way to just run a phone to the speakers. if not Is it possible to just have a stereo deck and speakers. I have no radio antenna and dont care for radio so thats no big deal. sound quality doesnt have to be great as long as i can hear it and hear it clearly.
i just want to be able to listen to music from my phone. whats the easiest way to do this.

Would blue tooth speakers work? You might have to get an adapter to go from 12v to ??? but it could be an easy idea.

I would be surprised if any phone adaptered speakers have enough to overcome the road noise in a baja.

My first choice would be an automotive mech-less car stereo (I know too much money) and next, the ghetto knock off of an automotive car stereo with an aux in.

Cassette based car stereo are fairly common and cheap on the used market.
