Lowered front spindles?

Post by blown ghia »

Does anyone make lowered spindles for the Type 3? I know it's not good to lower them buy the adjusting the torsion. I like to look of my fastback low but not the ride it gives me. I was thinking of making some. I did that already for my baja. Let me know Thanks Brian

I haven't seen any offered but agree that it's a good idea.
Stand by for testimonials about "I slammed mine by adjusting the torsions and it works just fine"....

Thanks for the link. I looked at my spindles today and the only question I had was how to get the back of the spindle flat. I came up with either mill it or use the lathe. Now all I need is another pair of spindles to do the drop.

Are you going to start to produce these spindles anytime soon?

Thanks

You could probably get a dozen or so guys just off this site who would be interested and do a small production run to cut costs. I would be one of the dozen for sure, can any others be counted on, if so speak up?

I have parts for 8 sets now. No cores required.

Early early - early and late is possible.

Mail me for a .doc for extra info - photos and prices.

If I´m not mistaken a dutch or french guy has made his own lowered spindles. "How to" was shown on a website too but I cant remember where it was.

Well, you can click on the icon at the bottom of his posts that has the three W's in it. It stands for "World Wide Web" and generally if people have a web site that button will take you to it. Also, in his signature area, is a web URL that you could click on as well

BerT, when I hit your web site it wants to download a Word document. That's not a good idea as pop-up blockers can deny it plus it's simply annoying -- VERY annoying. A web site is for viewing...if you want people to simply download a document then save your money and put it on a web file server for free.

hi all. [email protected] was going to do some dropped spidles for the type 3. dont know if he did it. he took a lot of deposits and it went on for quite a while, then he returened the deposit to me saying that not enough orders came in to make them. that was a while ago. he may have done some now. steve
