Re: Time to do some body work
well I have been kinda busy lots of little projects going on. Just finished building a rotisserie to put the squareback on. So i can media blast the whole body. Plus i am in the process of building my version of the Volksair , Vw power air compressor so i have the air to do the job...

Re: body off build up
thanks I Have a lot of repair work to do on my square and thought this would be the easiest way to get to all the hard to reach spots. I attached he front via the front upper beam mounts... And the rear from the rear sub frame mounts. the brackets for that is just 2inch angle bar welded to the slip pipe. It is 8feet long outside to outside of the up rights

Where did you get the NOS trunk flooring? Mine has several rust holes and I am considering replacing the whole thing.
Thanks,

Re: body off build up
well i was having no luck in finding time to strip all the rubber under coat off the squareback. they sprayed that crap everywhere inside and out to cover up some bad patch jobs. So i had to hire a guy to come over and do it for me.
So here is some of the progress...
jet strip at work
some of that bad patch work
major bondo in the hood
rubber under coat off of everything now
some one made galvanized floor pans for the square not to bad of a job
now in a coat of KBS

Re: body off build up
Been working on cutting out the rear cargo panel on the squareback. It was so badly beat up and patched over the year
It was best to just replace it. And being a happen to have a few NOS panels I am attempting it. Its a real pain in the ass
being almost all the spot welds are impossible to find from the patch work that had been done. But its out now...

I'm going to have to do the same thing to mine eventually going to get it torn down (Body off) and get her restored like I'm wanting to. Keep up the nice work on the square
