2.0 type 1 in type 3

I'm getting back into VW's after a couple years off. I still have a 76x94 upright engine from my type 1 vert I sold. I'm looking at getting an early squareback, never had one before, so my question is other than changing to the pancake style fan, are there intakes short enough to use my 44 idf's and what about the full flow oil pump. Is there enough clearence for it with the laydown style fan? Is the swap even possible? Thanks for any help.
