Who makes a good header and heater box in 1.5" or 1-5/8" for t-3's. Mines a 73 with a 2074cc mill. I think the 1-3/8" might be a little restrictive to the 42x37 valves.

So the t-1 boxes are different than the t-3? And if so, the only way would be to split the stock boxes and put a 1-1/2 or 5/8" J-tube in.

Correct, they are too short.

The fins in the stock boxes are actually part of the exhaust so it's not a simple exchange of exhaust tubes (even if it were the diameters would be different). Look in your Bentley shop manual of a cut-away view of the engine and you'll see what I mean:

I know about the fins inside, but i've talked to guys using the aftermarket heater boxes, there's no fins in them, just the pipe, and they work fine, plenty of heat. Maybe not as much as the stock ones.

ARE the stock size exhast tubes big enough for a 150hp 2074cc engine?
