VW 1600 MegaSquirt EFI, Ignition, Turbo Conversion

Post by cnicholls »

Below was my plan on the sand rail conversion, I will post this for input/reference to anyone else who was confused as I was when I started this process months ago.

I do have a question on if the injector banks are wired correctly. Because MS only has 2 injector and 2 ignition outputs, I have 1&2 and 3&4 injectors firing at the same time as well as 1-3 and 2-4 wasted spark firing. I have not started the engine yet, so I wanted to get some input?

I am using LS2 Coils
Chrysler Neon Injectors
Dodge Sensors from a 4.7
36-1 missing tooth attached to pulley

Great pictures and schematics, I also like what you are doing parts and layout.

I would run the injection just like the ignition, even & odd.
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

pairing evens/odds also sequences the injections 180 out as they should be.
Not as huge a deal with the long runner mexi setup
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
