can the Megajolt work on port vacuum?
if not, i guess ill have to get some M4 nipples and bolt them to the carbs "vacuum ports" for manifold pressure.
so, wen connected to the manifold vacuum, i should see high vacuum (low pressure) on idle, and a decrease in vacuum when the throttle is been opened?
Thanks a lot.

Re: MegaJolt on an a different type 3
Hi, looking for some ideas on how to cope with a problem -
now, that i have everything working and ready to go, i need to tackle another issue that i came across with.
although haven't connected it yet, i am foreseen some problems with the air conditioner and how to deal with the compressor's load at idle.
since i am running megajolt, i was thinking of changing the idle timing when the compressor kicks in, advance the ignition a bit in order to achieve higher idle speed (i.e. torque) without opening the carbs.
is this something acceptable?
i was thinking of two methods of doing that -
first, use the compressor's clutch control to switch between timing tables, one with a higher advance on idle.
second method is just build the original table such that all timing below 900RPM will be advanced thus keep the idle from dropping.
any ideas and thoughts?
Thanks

I actually advance timing to help idle speed when cold. It should work.
