Project: 1776cc MS II V. 3.0 build...
Good day to all,
I am converting my 1970 VW bug from dual 40mm webers to MS II EFI.
After a few posts with issues, etc. Today I am posting my progress on the build. My progress will be loaded here.
Again, the car:
L side:
Removed fuel pump, put JAYCEE fuel pump block:
R side:
Vacuum block:
FPR location:
AIC Valve location:
L fuel line / rail:
R fuel line / rail:
Rear:
I had to modify once more the fuel rails because the fuel injector connectors could not be inserted any way I rotated them. So I went to my machinist buddy and he took off some meat on each side. They came out get and solved the issue.
I had no choice here but it worked.
So tonight I finally finished the rear lines and mounted the throttle bodies. It took my hours to find a way to put the rear nuts on the intakes, at least the one with the FPR next to it. I had to uninstall the FPR and the fuel line to tighten the nut. I hope nothing unexpected comes out eating me on this side.

Are you running alpha-N? I'm curious about how you plumbed the idle air and map sensor with the vacuum manifold. I plan on doing separate vacuum manifolds for each function so they don't interfere.

Hi Steve,
I actually just put everything together but I haven't tested the AIC with the vac. On the intakes I drilled a hole on each side and tee-d to the blue vac can in the middle. Is something wrong with the setup? Please clarify, I just wanted to balance the signal to the MAP sensor.

Balancing the map signal lines into the can is the idea to reduce oscillation of the signal. I have all four ports tapped and routed to my can. I also had to use a small restrictor (.026") in the vacuum line within ~1 foot of the map sensor.
The issue with tapping the IAC into the vacuum can is it will make the map sensor read near atmospheric pressure when the IAC is open. I plan on adding another four manifold vacuum port, run those lines to a second vacuum can, and hook the idle air there. That way the IAC and map sensor are both happy.

Today I was going to fill the tank and check for leaks but before I wanted to calibrate the TPS with Tunerstudio. Guess what, the TPS did not want to work a WOT. Whatever I did, nothing happened. The TPS (new) never used, just did not work.
I bought it in CB Performance because of the ease of it to adapt it to WEBERS and it comes damaged.
I emailed them and explained my issue. I believe they won't resolve because I read somewhere in their site it states AS-IS on everything they sell. Well I tried.
I guess I will have to wait. I opened it and played with it a while but I see no hope with it.

A quick question: On the relay board do I use two of the four 12v connector for the fuel injectors paired up or put an injector on each one?

one 5A fuse will feed 4 highZ injectors.
As to the TPS, on a plenum based system, it would be NBD, as it's only used for accel shot, and you want to leave that off until fairly well tuned.
Unfortunately on an alpha-N system it's not just along for the ride.
If your cam isnt too radical you may get away with a ~1L central vacuum tank and read MAP off that.
You may be able to adapt the bit you have as a mount/adapter for a "normal" TPS off a junkyard pull. (grab the pigtail too)

zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
