Good day to all,

Recently I have stumbled on issues with my MS-2 ecu. The car just won't start or even POP like I say.

I put 4 new spark plugs just yesterday, flashed with 3.3.2 and nothing.

Upon updating TS I get:
"Review Audit"
3/30/14 9:18:10 AM :Warning: MSQ Units Mismatch for amap_table1! INVALID found in current configuration, kPa found in MSQ, values were not converted to new units.
3/30/14 9:18:10 AM :Warning: MSQ Units Mismatch for amap_table2! INVALID found in current configuration, kPa found in MSQ, values were not converted to new units.

I do not know if that's the issue. where can I address this issue?

I just got my internet back since a few days, reason why I haven't researched. I'll give it a shot.

As always, thanks in advance.

Good day,

I still have that error on ther previous post but I can live with that.

Last night i finally got the car to start. Out of all things, it was the gasoline or may I say water in the tank. Al it had was a tank with water with a smell of gas.

That's the last time I put 93 from that place.

After a month and half of troubleshooting and help from Mario and STF, the ordeal is over (so I hope).

Thanks,

Hi,

I turned on the car and it idles roughly. Maybe still water residue in tank.

My AFR is around 17.7 even if I richen up there's hardly changes. There is a setting that has me confused. Baro. When I updated to 3.3.2 I have 100 and 0 at the end. It had 147 and -47 before. Then I saw 0 and 0. Which one is it?

I believe this is part of my idle problem.

Thanks.

Steve,

I just turned on the car and got it to idle at 850 rpm's without any problems. The only thing is that before all this, the VE at idle was at 34. To get it to idle now I had to lower it to 17. The AFR stands at 14.1 nicely.

The MAP/Baro thing was set at 100 and 0. This did not let it idle so I put it back like old times to 147 and -47.

Why is this, from 34 to 17 in the VE table?

I guess I'll give it a try on the road tomorrow and see how it behaves.

Thanks,

You need to read the change notes from all the the releases between what you changed from>to, it sounds like some calibration method or table format fundamentally changed.

I'm sure the change notes or related dev release announcements likely tell what needs fixed.

I have not run MS2-extra in awhile, sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi pile,

Your input is always welcomed.

I'll read release notes.

There are two ways that barometric correction may be used.

1. The current way. On the MAP/Baro page the 'At total vacuum' and 'rate' numbers must be set to zero. This curve is then normally 100% at all points and adjusted up or down to alter fuelling based on the barometer reading.

2. The old way. The two numbers are set to 147 and -47 and the curve is normally 0% at all points.

So just change this chart to the respective 0 or 100 across the board.

I didn't catch the changing that table part until just now... :|

Hi Mario,

That graph has always been that way. The car is idling great again. I'll change to 100 and 0 and see what happens.

See you later.

Hi,

The other day I flashed the MS-2 with the latest beta firmware. At least all the 2 errors that popped up went away. Also, the VE table went back to normal 34.

The car is idling great. Today I'll give it a spin with VEAL on my way to workout.

Good day to all,

As I stated before, I am running one of those latest beta firmwares and the car does not idle stable. You can see the rpm's up and down. This only happens when hot.

Also, I noticed "not synced" on the bottom but the car runs fine.

Can anyone explain this?

Thanks,

If it's only once warm, is it your idle valve trying to stay on target? Is your timing or fuel numbers relatively close in the cells directly adjacent to the idle cells? Or is the gap to large causing the oscillation?

Hi Mario,

So early  . I disconnected the idle valve and it still does it. It has a plug on it, too.
The gap is a credit card thick. I couldn't find my gauges. :D

Is your timing or fuel numbers relatively close in the cells directly adjacent to the idle cells? ????
I am using the tables from my dyno pull which were good. Even if I change them I still have the issue.

Turn on idle VE and idle timing ..at least.

The current MS2-e and MS3 FW has many huge process knobs with which to control most conceivable aspects of idle, and a few that may not even occur to you, all fully independent of the main VE and timing tables.

Fiddle with your idle tables as intended, separate from your main tables.
You will also have an idle PWM (or position) preset table once you start setting up closed loop.
