I have multiple exploded views of different bus tin setups, but nothing for a 914. What I thought was a complete set of tins in a box is missing atleast 1 tin, and I want to know what it looks like and if I can sub a bus piece in its place.
Any diagrams of 914 tins?

I'll have a look around, but the Bus tins are a bit bigger etc, if they are going in a 914 some welding (at least) will be needed as the trans end tin has an offset of about 30mm back to where it seals. A bus is ~flat there.
If it's for a buggy it might work OK, although finding a set of Bus tin might be less work.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Re: 914 tins
i stripped two 914 2.0s, and kept all the tins, but going thru my boxes I have only found one set so far, and it appears partial. I always get caught by the assumtion that what I bought was complete. EDIT oh yeah, going into a buggy. if someone needs to buiild a set of 914 tins out of bus tins, I'll sell the cutoffs!
give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.
