Congrats dude, I know you are the right man for the job!

All I ask is a little leeway when I talk smack on this forum, and would you keep making the Type 4um look good too?
So you think your project is taking forever eh? Well you've got nothing on me.....

Thanks, folks!

I am open to suggestions on how to "renovate" the place, we have good folks but not a whole lot of traffic.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

I think we should should start with a "Naked chicks in 914s" thread.

Me thinks that will improve traffic a bunch.......

Good to have you here Piledriver. You are the right guy for the job.

Cheers and good vibes,

Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

Hmmm... I can do that, or at least take better pics.

The Pile will be coming apart for paint/new motor shortly ...have been dragging my feet as it continues to run great, I've been waiting for it to die for ~7 (8?) years now, runs far better now than at the beginning ;-)

Just FYI, currently running a CIS-M meter off a `92 Passat 2.0 16V.
No computer. Using std low pressure injectors, as the lines (threads actually) are different for the Motronic ones... Works great, didn't even have to adjust the CO screw, although it might help, running ~20mA control current, also ran it with a tweaked DPR with no control current for that "all mechanical FI" feeling..

First - congrats on the 'promotion' Piledriver!

Second - I also vote for the CIS onto Type 4 pictures & writeup, as I cannot locate the pics you sent me showing the CIS injector fitment / spring retainer mod; pics were on my old computer that died... and I'm just now gathering the remaining parts for my CIS swap onto a 1.7 -

Problem is there are just way too many 914 sites. Most of the guys know about the STF, many lurk here, but like your favorite watering hole they tend to hang where their buds are.

All the more reason to build our quality tech content. I encourage all to post your projects/repairs, big and small, WITH PICS. Just no substitute for the pics.

2 recent threads, Type4Unleashed and his head work and the thread detailing the Cali conversion have been just great. Quality content and friendly members will draw new membership.

C'mon, help STF out. Post it up!!
