I'm trying to fit a RX7 oil cooler on my 914 Baja bug.....
The problem I'm having is finding info on this cooler.
I've searched this forum and others and found some info, mostly all good, but I can't find many of any other websites that describe this cooler, or the thermostat application.
It's mounted outside, up top on the roof on my spare tire rack (did I mention it's a baja bug?)
Gets plenty of air, maybe too much to allow the thermostat to open, or maybe the thermostat does not work.
I've taken the thermostat out and tested it in boiling water, and it works at that application.
My QUESTION is which way does the oil flow on this cooler....... I found one website that shows it goes in opposite the thermostat and comes out on the side close to the thermostat - does that sound right?
Has anyone had a problem with this cooler NOT working?
