this is the uk site, it think they would be able to make one of their six speed transaxle box's (either H-pattern or sequential) to suit a beetle.

http://www.quaife.co.uk/index2.htm

or this is their US site

http://www.quaifeamerica.com/

let me know if you get in contact with them (about price etc..)

Cheers

i think its probably so expensive coz it'l be a development item. after the first one, im sure the price will drop.
now we just need to find someone with FAR too much money to spend on their dub...

I test drove a 2003 Golf GTI, VR6 that had a 6speed trans. I believe it had 200hp stock with four wheel disc's and 17inch rem's. Maybe that trans might fit in a bug, I cant see it but who know's.

its the next thin on my list for my "monster floorpan" to compliment my 996 rear suspention setup!!
more gears are only needed to counteract a lack of power

I have 259ftlb of touqe and trust me 4 gears are not enought
COUNT first,second,third,forth,100mph! thats how fast they go!! i need 6 gears badly!
are there any other porsche transmissions that will handle more than 800 hp or any other 6 speed porsche transmissions that can be mounted to a vw engine and chassis? also if i wanted to get someone to put different ratios in it could i have that done .......and does anyone know of any websites where i could get it done?

thanks alot (im really new to transmissions)

Will a Porsche 968 had a 6 speed transaxle be made to fit in an IRS chassi? Is the 968 engine in the rear or front?
