FYI:Air-cooled diesel option

Post by Jadewombat » Sun Aug 28, 2016 6:30 pm

3 cylinder Deutz A-C engine. I've seen these on oilfield equipment, forklifts, boats?, and portable Lincoln welding machines. Not sure of the weight, power, etc. but they pop up on CL every once in a while. HP is 45, but the TQ is ?? Put on a small turbo? Weight is about ~350-400lb.

Don't think so.

Looks like the fan is inside and those are just fins to channel the air on the outside. They made 2, 5, 6, 8 and 12 cylinder engines. The second video the guy says 230hp and 750ft/lb., so for the 3 it'd be 45hp and 100ft/lb.?
