How's the bump steer with that kart setup and the draglink going to the left spindle? The few folks who used kart steering on their VW-beam circletrack cars long ago chose to run the draglink to the RH side, so it didn't undergo as much angle (and therefore effective-length) change as the suspension traveled.

First Testday was quite successful :) It made 3 times 12.0 (Last record was 12.4) top speed was 194 (Last year it was 186)
Only 1 timeslip is missing but I feel that it was my best time....hope to get log abit later and check :)
Weather was awful....concrit was about +2 degrees and I couldn´t warm up the tyres because I have no front brakes yet.

That is 18 kinds of awesome! I feel kinda sorry for your transmission though once you finally get it to hook up. :(

Realy great news.
The only run I didn´t hear was really the best as I thaught.
Checked the LOG of comp. today and there it was: 11,77 with 1.55 60ft and 195km/h :)
1/8 time was 7.5 @ 153km/h
I think its good result for 1 degree (celsius) track temperature and 95% humidity :D

1 have about 6 weeks to next event.....
I hope to get the new engine in there. It came from S8 and is BOLT ON but it has 30more kw
I hope it will be better weather ...
...and I have to cover the rear wheels for that event and make some breakes for front wheels.

Do you drive it on the street ? Or is this strictly a track car now ?

Actually this car has no output. :(
Its not 100% legal for dragrace but its 100% illegal for using it on streets :D
Still....I`ll try to legalize it abit....not 100% but I will add some lights, mirrors and things like that. My target is to use it few days in a month to get to track on my wheels.

Enjoy our season opening: (My most awful start on 1:00)

Could anybody help me with front axle.
What Camber and toe-in should I try to get it stable over 200km/h ?
Last year there were no problems but now with 5cm narrowed beam its awful eaven with 180-190km/h :S
It had zero camber when I tried and zerow toe in now it should be 2 degrees negative camber and minimal toe in but haven´t tried it yet with higher speeds. On 1/8th mile it seemed to be a bit better but next event is 1/4th
I have to add that I have bouth wheels conneckted with bar and from steering box comes only 1 bar to left wheel.

Much more caster needed for high speed, positive camber helps a little. needs a little toe in.
They sell caster shims for the beam for that purpose, but I'm sure you can fabricate quickly.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
