yes rubber failed! the mendiola mount uses vw motor mounts and the subarugears mount uses subaru motor mounts. i looked into the mendiola mounts but i wanted to do a tranny raise so i didnt have to have a special oil pan or header and you cant do it with the mendiola mount.jrobe wrote:I take it the metal part of the mount was ok and the rubber failed?
I ended up buying a mount from Mendola, not sure if they are much different or not?

Do you know what people are using for a exhuast header with the turbo motors? Do they keep the turbo in the stock location?
Thanks, Jeff

you are going to have to make or modify an existing header. i know outfront motors sell the exhaust manifolds that are shorter! you also need short pan and pickup.

Smallcar has a header that gives more clearance but the turbo is in the stock location. I'm not sure if other people are using the turbo in the stock location.

i know how we like pictures so here you go!
first pic is the plunger removed from the oil pump that controls pressure!tapped and plugged! Next is the external pressure regulator at the end of system with a loop to remove the (dead end) also it relieves pressure to the sump.other lines are breather lines.
third is oil lines to oil filter .oil thermostat, oil cooler.
forth pic is of the drain from the driver valve cover to the oil pan and pressure relief to the pan.
next are my cooling windows ,removable bumper mounts , radiators and last my lsd that is working awesome!!!

Couple questions: 1) do you run an AOS? (Air Oil seperator) for the clean air to the intake etc? 2) What line goes to the valve cover ?

panel. i am still using the baffled breather from my aircooled motor! but it is not hooked up to my intake just to atmo. valve covers hook up to the side fittings and top of motor hook to the bottom fitting that is angled down so it will drain back to motor! or are you talking about the driver side valve cover that is also hooked up to oil pan?
