HI STF! I've spent a long time away from my old VW roots, tried all sorts of new and interesting roads..... but everyone knows there's nothing else quite like a classic air-cooled VW. So yesterday I traded an extremely nice 26 y/o Mercedes that I was DD'ing for a 44 y/o Standard Beetle. I don't know her very well yet but I'm sure I'll fix that quickly.

Travis, Did you used to be on R.A.M.V.A. back in it's hey day?

I believe so, I was heavily in the scene from the early 90s till the early 00s, moderated the Ghia forum here. I was a little ashamed when I saw it had been since 2010 when I last logged in here.

Was off roading a nearly pristine early 60's model when I last remember, but I think sold that one to buy a house or relocate or something... Yeah... 90's sounds about right. If you even know what R.A.M.V.A. is you've been around a while. too many to mention all the Air-cooled Guru's from back then... hell, even Bob Hoover visited us once in a while... Good to see another "oldie" around. Watching to see what you come up with this time.
