Hi Folks
I wanted to know if there's a matrix chart of some sort so as to help me set up my new dual EMPI 40 HPMX carbs on my 1972 Super Beetle. The engine is a 1641.
I am usually operating it from 3,000 to 7,000 feet elevation and at times I head to the beaches in Southern California.
I heard the carbs should be ok out of the box, but not sure what to expect.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Michael

Re: Initial Carb Set Up
Suggested jetting for Weber 40IDF's, mains, 1.30, air, 2.00, idle, .50, pump, .50. The Empi is a clone of the Weber so this would be a good starting point only. The higher elevation might need slightly bigger idles and mains
