take off the gas cap, and see if you can blow back through the fuel line into the gas tank.
(if you don't take off the gas cap and your tank vent has issues, you will find it violently sprays gasoline back at you)
An engine flush is a Very Bad Idea, even if you had an oil filter.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Engine flush bad ? I've had bugs growing up even raced them back in the 80s but I have no idea on how to treat this car . I took me two month's to find the screen in the tank . There was a filter in the engine compartment and finally found one under the front if the car . It wouldn't run for longer the two days then stall. My father and I replaced fuel pump, plugs fuel line in the engine ,condenser ,points . All this time it was the brass screen in tank and covered in crud. I had her running good finally and flushed and fresh oil now this . It's killin me really .

Do a fuel pump flow test, charge the battery and perhaps pull the plugs and points wire.
I forget what the spec is, but it's in the manual and/or Googleable.
Rusty gas tanks do not self heal.
Might want to bite the bullet and have it cleaned/coated, will then last ~forever.
Will save a lot of lost hair.
Keep the filter up front.
Once coated, you can lose the pickup screen.
Eliminate the one in the engine compartment.
There is a thread in the stickies about "how not to burn down your car" or such.
There is a LOT of great hard earned info/warnings to others in the stickies.
Read them.
Here is one of the "warnings to others" in the always poular "top 10" format...

I removed that filter when we replaced the fuel lines the only filter is under the tank . I replaced it twice . I pulled the gas line on the output side of fuel pump had daughter turn it over and she flowing fine . Going to clean the jets today an see if that's the problem . The gas flow is good from tank to engine compartment. Thanks

Leaking intake manifold boot!!!! Took out carb cleaned it and sprayed and cleaned the jets . Put back together and cleaned all grease and oil . Saw gas dripping from left boot . Going to have to replace both while I'm at it. Thank for the suggestions .
