Kymco VW... still in buisness??

Post by CharlesA »

Does any one know if Kymco is still around?

I noticed that they no longer advertise in Hot VWs or VW Trends.

And it appears that their web site is no longer up (www.kymcovw.com)

looking for a new merged header.

Thanks,
Charles

For the buggy on your avatar? Or a sedan?
For an off road car, a Tri Mill is hard to beat.
For a sedan, S&S is my favorite, fit and finish are excellant.
Where is Mogadore?

Where can you buy S&S? I have requested info from them several times still never received anything.

Kymco is still in business, I called them about 3 weeks ago and got a 1 5/8" header. Looks good, but we'll see about the fit later.

I just got a muffler from them yesterday to go along with my header., they shipped it quick and were helpful on the phone. The fit and finish of all their exhaust systems are great in my experence. Chris W

Kymco header

Post by CharlesA »

The header is for the rail buggy I wanted to use the Kymco merged header header because of the way the primary tubes enter the collector (on an angle vs. straight) This is for a stroker motor that is slightly wider.

Glad to hear they are still around... I will try and find thier phone number and order up a header.

Thanks!

I am not sure what the whole story is about exhaust systems but I can tell you this. I have seen systems from bug pack with S&S on them I have seen systems from S&S the had tags placed over where it was embossed bug pack on a muffler and had the Bugpack pn on the header and systems from Kymco that were Bugpack systems. I believe what it boils down to is that Bugpack and Kymco are both selling stuff by S&S. I'm not saying every system bugpack sells is S&S or every system Kymco sells is Bugpack but there is definately a connection along those lines.

S&S used to supply headers and mufflers for Bugpack. However, Bugpack cancelled that agreement and thus S&S was stuck with a bunch of leftover Bugpack mufflers. So, they welded their S&S tag over top of the second syllable on those leftover mufflers and now they say BUG S&SHeaders...got one on my latest Beetle :)

Anyone got a phone number for Kymco? Their web site doesn't seem to be up anymore.

The website is under construction, but they'll take your order over the telephone...
