Pat I hope the CE heads will take the 50 x 40 valve combo without having the seats touch each other, unlike the 48X40 combo CB sells now. If you are going to make a change do it right. If you only move the intake over .050 that is about right for a 48 x 40 combo a 50 x 40 you will be almost where the 48 x 40 is now. Will the seats still touch? Remake the CE heads for a 4.000 101.6mm cylinder. Space the valves so they don't touch. IMO. CE heads are not a street head. Work on the 044 style head for a 4.000 101.6 street head. We will need the fins to help keep it cooler. Thanks Rocky

Street(able) engine for a '51 split.

A 3 liter with a 200 cfm wedgport head bolted to it won't make much hp. Talk about restriction. It would be torquey though.
You would need like 300 cfm at least to make some hp with that kind of displacement.
How about moving the intake valve over to the edge of the 101 bore and put in like a 54mm intake.
Good idea on more meat around the intake port.
Fill in between the two intake ports and put more metal right above the point on the intake where the intake and exhaust ports touch.
