Because it is a rediculous combination.Kenny2428 wrote:Why, because it doesnt have a turbo?
I'm not talking about drag racing either, just a street/ occasional strip combo.
First you stated "racing combo". A stroke that large would be very WEAK and expensive.
Also, you sure arent going to stuff that thing into a type 1 case. The rod angles would be so extreme, the rings will never seal and the pistons will get beat to hell. Shall I continue???????????

If it's somethin' that you don't expect to last long, like a play toy/race motor, by all means use 94's. It'd be beneficial to have the cylinders cut down to 90.5/92 register though, so you don't limit the case to 94's should you change your mind.
A "92 mm" crank requires some serious money, and a non-stock case ($$$).
Having money wrapped up into an expensive stroker I wouldn't want to use 1.25 rockers, I'd spring for some legit rockers like 1.3/1.4/1.5/or GBE's odd ball sizes.
Depending on the fuel you're going to run the CR may be conservative or too high. The 1-3/4 may also be too large if we're talkin' a 2110.
The S.E. heads may not be best for a street driven car either unfortunately.
Haven't played with any of this stuff, but I've listened to enough of it to form an opinion, lol. Good luck with the 1775.

what's your budget?
I have a 2276 combo that I've been working on for a few months and I've been looking at different (AND REPUTABLE) suppliers to try and find the lowest prices for specific items by non-generic companies... All that i dont have on my list is a muffler, but I have included a header!
I'd also like some of you to look and see if there's anything that I missed, something that'll be weak... etc...
Here's the link... its a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

You can build a very, very fast race motor with a 2332. 84 x 94. Obviously real expensive. The guys building these race motors will often have things such as $2000+ heads ported by some master who matched them to the rest of your engine specs, 48IDAs bored to 52mm or even some of the 62mm Terminators, crazy cams like FK-87 or FK-89, etc. Take a look at some of the Renn Kafer guys cars. They build some street/strip, mostly strip, engines that will put down 200hp which will get you into the 12s or 11s with the right setup.

My 2332 is for the track only, 220hp@7400 went 11.60@114, and I wouldn't put it on the street. It would go fast, yes, but for a short time, and I only have a 3 gallon gas tank, so its not going to far.Cornbread wrote:You can build a very, very fast race motor with a 2332. 84 x 94. Yeah, 200HP is what I would be shooting for. Once I decide to build it(or have someone else build it) money wont be a problem....I'll be out of college by then , working a REAL job.
I'll also have to think about the transmission, and it would be nice if I could take it on the street.
But, for now I'll have to stick with the 1776, which is good enough for me.
