Absolutely. Epic. Build.

Y'all should read that thread. Pack a lunch, and napkins for the drool...

So glad you fixed that step in the heads, we spent weeks trying to get the Mofoco guy to understand why the step cut was boneheaded... The only easy fix (simple flycut) results in 42cc chambers, which works great if you need >11:1 CR.

Mr Snu Snu, there should be an academy award for that sort of machine work. Very, very impressive. I love your trike even more now. As a Christian and a pastor, I really liked your Calvary frame gussets. :)

The heads ended up at 58cc.
A .050 copper ring
And zero piston to cyl deck

Roy does offer a no step head cut now.

Have you seen the advert on the new casting on claudes buggies 044 heads. Claimes of more cfm with less volume/more velocity across the board. All new molds, clean castings, moved valve centers and short side radius.

No denying.....it is welded solid.

And all that machine work is on top of all the machine work to build it the first time around.
Something that is not in that thread is the trans and inside the trans case. It has nut type splined shafts which dont exactly fit a swing case. Bearings are sleeve adaptered in there. And oil ports/drain backs moved for upside down oiling.

No.
Not yet. Just busy with work and have had some health issues also.

Working on a gas tank.

So it started.

Still working out the kinks.
Lots of tuning to go.

But.
I had the coils backward. Swap 2 wires. No real problem.
The ground for the tps magically disappeared. Gotta find that. So just jumped a ground to the tps.
Cranked right up.
Seemed lean.
Scaled up 20%. Fat now.
Cranks right up and idles.
Has been through several warm up cycles.
It is settling in. Over the hots. Time to adjust valves.

First start up.
Alt belt squealing.
Dead battery.

Sounds good. The ITBs make it sound... umm, like a motorbike...

It is deep and throaty sounding in person.
Sound big. Really big.

It has now been run through several warm up cycles.

Things are loosening up and settling in.

Over the first start hots.

Scaled up the fuel tables and have it rich now.

The ford idle air valve is online now and working.

It idles on its own now.

The base timing is checked and was on 10 advanced with no advance command (no spark advance word from computer). That is the way ford intended it.

I reved it one time high enough to hit the cam.

It sounds beefy/chunky like a big block Chevy at idle and down low.

But when the cam comes in it suddenly changes and becomes a big motorcycle sounding engine.

Gonna be wild.

That looks great! I'm not usually a trike fan, but that'll be a lot of fun. :)

Looks awesome!

So Pete, if you rolled up at the Oz DMV on something like that trike, would their heads explode?
