Screws for old CB rocker arms

Post by tpubert »

Hello,

I've a big problem with my old CB 1.4 rocker arms ... I broke 2 screws.
When I have wanted to change these screws, I have seen that new ones haven't the same dimensions. (11/32" for mine and 5/16" for the new ones in CB1578 kit)
11/32" is the dimension of the screws of the CB1555 from the middle of the 90's.
So, I ask for you to see if any of you would still have in his stuff 2 or 3 of these screws 11/32".

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

Please let me know if you find any - have the same problem!

Mr Daniel Watson (CB Performance Salesperson) told me:

-They were produced for us in Brazil as a complete kit.
The adjusters were not supplied from any other Company.
These parts have been discontinued for many many years, I honestly don’t think you are going to find any one with them

Are you certain they're not 9mm screws? Can you post a pic of exactly which screws are broken?

Here is a photo of the adjuster.

it is the left one that is used on the old CB rockers.
Right one is the new type.

Looks like they could be drilled, and tapped for a thread insert.
