And the pics are gone. These where the super squish pistons form aircooled.net.

Thank you for pulling the pics, it's a courtesy to a fellow member of the STF.macdweal wrote:And the pics are gone. These where the super squish pistons form aircooled.net.
Here's a great article by Larry Widmer that has drawings and describes in detail how the Squishies work.

Note: Read what he says carefully always, he says what he means, but Mr. Widmer is intentionally a bit vague in places.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Been awhile since I updated this thing so I thought I'd add this since this is the crank I'm using for the build. It's got its on thread but I think it belongs here too.
I'm currently working on knife edging the crank's counterweights and also will be removing metal from the rod throws and reshaping them for better crank aerodynamics/windage. You can see the mammoth, square-shaped rod throw arms in these pics.
Here's the thread that shows the process in more detail:
