Yeah, those turbo hats work if you're feeding the carbs air under pressure, but for a normally aspirated engine I'm sure they are very restrictive.

I remember that Jake said he would post results, but I never saw them. I wish he would I am very curious where in the RPM range the lows occurred and if he was running the common stacks or not.
FYI I don't run the common stacks, I use the stock/OEM ¼inch tall velocity straight stack looking things. The hats themselves are cut down in height quite a bit, I have cut and welded the decklid springs for clearance.

Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

That is very interesting, as while looking at Bernie Bergman's NEW!? website he is advertising a similar setup. Maybe he heard it worked so craptastically that he thought only proper to get his name on it, look here,Steve Arndt wrote:Jake Raby tested a customers bernie bergman N/A 2275 T1 engine with CB turbo hats and a big K&N, compared to no filters. He lost some huge number like 25 horsepower from the single filter setup.
Here is an old pic I saved of it;

Comes in red too, for danger.

A number of the Speedster owners use these rain hats from Beck: http://www.beckspeedster.com/partsstore.html
