To clarify, you need some that will increase the valvestem effective length by ~.130" versus the "normal" .080"?
In a pinch you can cut some tiny circles out of tough steel sheetmetal (perhaps a .040"+ feeler gauge?) and sandwich them between the stem & lashcap. I used this dodge years ago to adjust the valves on a Rabbit race head with Alfa-Romeo buckets (lighter than VW, but no interchangeable pucks to allow lash adjustment) and never experienced any problems...

I think they are out of stock on everything. I've called to order parts over the last 6 months and they are always out of stock. Makes for a very slow engine build.

Exactly correct. The Scat one's I have mic out at .075" and really 0.150" would be absolutely absolutely perfect, but the 0.130" would definitely do just fine.

Good tip, they were very friendly, and more than likely the Berg's source.

They're out stock on the Berg's tall size:
0.130" thick + 0.140" skirt on a 0.311" diameter

They said the could do another run, but they'd charge ~$9 a cap, and that the minimum run would be ~40 caps. I'd be willing to pay ~$75 for a set, but I doubt I could find four other saps who would on in on a group buy with me.

But if anybody has a set of these things, even used, and want's to get double what the Berg's charge NEW... private message me.

I could use a set a well, was going to post a similar question a week or so ago. 75 bucks is a bit steep though. If you were able to find a few others interested, I'd prob go along just so I could get my setup the way I want it.

These guys got me squared away.

Custom size lash-cap makes for ideal geometry, not compromised to an available size.

With all of the different heads, and especially rockers... (1:4s  ) It ends up being the only way to get it _right_ a lot of times anymore.

MY SAVIOR!!!

$71.60 for a set (plus shipping and handling) is nothing to sneeze at, but it seem like it's the best option.
