New Book about a 1964 Type II Transporter

I am the author of a novel you might be interested in. Its title is THE VAN, and it follows the "life" of a 1964 Type II Transporter from its birth in a factory in West Germany to its final resting place in San Diego. In between it is shot at, wrecked, restored, made love in, driven to Mexcio, and taken on many adventures, although it's not always obvious how this "station wagon" (the original VW name) figures into the plot. I use this splittie to explore the themes of modern American history--I teach history at Eckerd College, so this book reflects my research interests. I hope you can read it one day.
