Long time reader here, but haven't posted anything yet. So I thought it was time for me to share my project here at STF.
My bus is called Belinda. She is a 1974 1800cc Type 4 camper. When I bought her she had an ugly high roof that was a pig job to drive when it was windy.
She ran and drove fine when I bought her. Started to act up after a little while. Backfires and not running properly. So I decided to rebuild the carburetors. After I did that, I realized that I didn't know jack sh*t about tuning and syncing carburetors. With the help from Ratwell, it did turn out pretty good though.
But, onwards upwards. I like computers a lot more than old mechanical things. So I decided that I want to convert Belinda to EFI. Not the old (and to some, pretty bad) VW EFI. Noooo. I decided that I want to this with a Speeduino. An open source ECU that highly tunable.
Right now, I'm rebuilding the engine, because of a pretty worn out crankshaft (crankshark).
Somewhere along the way, I also decided that I wanted to make a Youtube show about my build.
Here's the first episode. There are more of them on the channel.
The quintessential people and stuff mover.
