Dbl 140 IDF and the battery.

Question:

I will be installing dbl webber's 140 IDF's on my 74 Ghia.

Do I really need to relocate the battery away from the engine compartment? I have seen pictures of Ghias with dbl 140 IDF's and the battery in the original location.

If needed, I will relocate it. But I would like opinions and experiences.

Hi Luiz,

I'd relocate the battery anyway. Put it under the rear jump seat, same location as in a Bug.

You get the battery away from thr engine heat, and move its weight inside the wheelbase for better handling.
