HELP! Wheel locked up.
I'm trying to get the Ghia on the trailer, but the rear passenger wheel won't move. Brakes? Transaxel?
Any tips?

Re: HELP! Wheel locked up.
Open the bleed screw on the locked wheel to see if there is a problem there. It may relieve the pressure caused by a bad soft hose or a locked up wheel cylinder.

Release parking brake.
Had to be said.
Anyway. Park brake off, remove wheel, smack drum with hammer repeatedly
Usually you can hear the shoes retract when they unstick.

Also. Remove the shoe inspection covers on the backing plate and you can sict a screwdriver in there and directly work on the pad itself

Re: HELP! Wheel locked up.
Both rear wheels were locked up on the '71 Ghia I just picked up - I backed off the shoe adjusters & used the 'applied physics' method as well.
The BFH... then, on the way home during the 10 mile flat tow, the right front wheel decided to lock up - yoinked the caliper bolts out, pulled caliper &
tucked it into pan recess, then zip-tied it safely out of the way & continued tow home - no problems.
