411/412 friendly vendors

I think we need to have to a thread that is strictly a list of shops, wrecking yards, and garages that are "411/412 friendly". This means that they regulary stock 411/412 parts, they can easily get the parts, etc. Let's give these businesses our hard earned money, showing them that they aren't throwing money away by stocking that stuff(which is how a lot of them feel).

So, who do you know? Post as much of this information as possible.

name (plus an individual's name if this is a business)
address
city, state
country
phone #
email address
web site

Include any comments that you feel a fellow Type 4 owner might find handy.

Unfortunatly,

JC Whitney

http://www.jcwhitney.com

They have Headliners, Dash Covers, Engine parts, suspension parts and some other stuff, they are high priced, but when you need it, you need it.

EDIT :: 6-18-4 - looks as if JC WHITNEY dropped all of their 411/412 stuff.

I have been digging around some Brazillian web sites, I have found some suppliers for the VW Brasillia (an offshoot of the 412) and there are several suppliers for parts for these particular vehicles. The front end body metal of the original Brasillia looks VERY similar to the 412. Here is one manufacturer of Brasillia body metal.

I just got a W code 1.7 out of a 411 wagon at Small Car Connection, a VW salvage yard in Hesperia, California. The yard still has the hulk, including a gas heater. They have a few T4 cars in from time to time. All contact info is on their webpage, ask for John or Chris.

Also, I spotted a complete 411 4 door "sedan" (not the wagon) in Adlanto, Ca, near Victorville. It's been sitting in the same spot for years. Anyone adventureous enough can Email or PM me for directions.

West Coast Metric is a good place for small VW parts, particuarly rubber and plastic parts. They don't have any Type 4 listings, but at least a few parts are interchangable with from other V-dubs.
