lowering a 412 Variant?

There's a lot of heresay about this topic, but can anyone say for sure how a 412LS Variant can be lowered? Do 1302 struts fit, or is this a myth?

Its been a long time since i had a T4 but I don't think they will fithowever you can just fit shorter springs
