Will these work in the later 010 gear boxes or are they 003 specific?

What does the 010 go into? They will be specific to the type 3 and 4 layout. It shoudl fit either type 3 or 4 automatic. Ray

If I have my tranny numbers and years right the 010 came in the later bays and the 090 came in the Vanagons. I was actually wondering if this gear set could be used in a Vanagon with a TDI or other higher torque engine.

Its possible.....but the gear ratio having more teeth on the bus...generally makes it a larger diamter ring. What ends up happening usually is that the differential housing then gets to be too fat to fit the ring gear onto. Ray
